Second Run launched on 1st August 2005. We are a UK-based film distribution company dedicated to releasing rare and important classic and contemporary films from around the world. Our films encompass many genres and languages; what distinguishes them is their quality and their ethos. Each Second Run release is our personal selection of films that we love and which we want to share with others.

Every Second Run release is presented in the best possible picture and sound quality, has newly translated English subtitles and includes carefully chosen and specially commissioned original extra features.

Our catalogue boasts works from some of cinema's most admired and adventurous filmmakers and artists: Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Miklós Jancsó, František Vláčil, Andrzej Wajda, Věra Chytilová, Nicolas Philibert, Yorgos Lanthimos, Miloš Forman, István Szabó, Angela Schanelec, Pedro Costa, Albert Serra, Kim Longinotto, Jerzy Skolimowski, Ben Rivers, Tsai-Ming Liang, Kelly Reichardt and Radu Jude amongst them.
